The city of Trento is situated in the valley of the Adige river , in the middle of an urban area between Mezzolombardo, Rovereto and the Valsugana. Trento has extreme diversity of territorial and population.

The municipal population is not concentrated only in the city but also in a number of centers around (suburbs), quite different from each other and still retain its own identity is urban, and village, rural or mountainous.
